We’re off to see the wizard…
Ever since I was as little girl I have been in love with all things Wizard of Oz. I have watched the movie more times than I can count and probably The Return to Oz and The Wiz even more times. I just love the music, the magic and the story that is why I can’t wait to finally see a live performance.
Our littles are still a bit young to be introduced to The Wizard of Oz but soon we will and I hope that they love it as much as I do. Hopefully the Broadway performance will come through Portland again when they are a bit older as well.
This new production of The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic, totally re-conceived for the stage. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this production contains the beloved songs from the Oscar® – winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

I had no idea the Wizard of Oz was going to be in town. It’s one of my favorite movies, and those costumes are amazing!
I’m slated to see it next week! I may not be able to go after all, though. Looks like a great production!
